Nigerian food workshop in Lagos

If you would like to do something different during your trip allowing you to indulge in the Nigerian culture, make new friends and learn to cook Nigerian food (and eat it!), this is the perfect activity for you.

Nigerian cuisine, like most food in West Africa, is known to be spicy and rich in spices. The most famous dish is probably jollof rice and Nigerian cuisine has a wide variety of rich soups and deep flavoured sauces with meat and fish.

You’ll be starting your activity by going to the market with your host to select everything for your meal, giving you the chance to see how locals shop their goods. For this trip you’ll also be using public transport, to truly experience it the local way. Afterwards you’ll be going with your host to her house, where you’ll be cooking together and in the end share your meal. Take advantage of this opportunity to get to know more about your host and her culture.
